Musicology has produced many musical theories to categorize, describe and analyze electroacoustic music. However, many of them have been based on a segmentation of the sound material which is incompatible with a large part of the repertoire since the late 1960s. Since 2003, I have been developing analytical techniques to study continuous shapes, non-localized morphologies or structural elements at different levels of hierarchies. This presentation will introduce my research in the field of analytical representation related to the study of works but also to the pedagogical aspects of the analysis teaching or the development of computer tools in the field of digital musicology. From study of fixed work to the analysis of the interpretation of electroacoustic music, I will explain my research framework, epistemological developments as well as perspectives based on the latest innovations in acoustics and computer science.
